Samira El Chami (b.2003) is a Lebanese artist residing on Darug land / Western Sydney. Her work combines the classical elegance of Arabic calligraphy with her contemporary and satirical nature through sculptural clay pieces. It touches on themes of exaggerating the mundane, appreciating everyday objects which often go unnoticed, utilising her language and experiences to further establish a genuine connection with her pieces.
